Andrew Tozer

This acclaimed young artist was born in 1964 in Cornwall. His formal arts education began at Falmouth School of Art in 1992/93, followed by 1st Class BA(Hons) in Illustration at the University of Westminster and completed with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Communication Design at St.Martin's School of Art & Design 1993/96.Since graduation Andrew has painted and exhibited continuously in both London and Cornwall.

Andrew's paintings are firmly rooted in the Impressionist tradition, he admires Pissaro,Monet and Sisley amongst others. The simplicity and beauty of his work hide the rigorous draughtsmanship and complex painting skills needed in order to achieve these results. His passion for capturing 'light' in his paintings is part of a process, layering thin coats of colour and glazes until he is satisfied with the result.

Andrew has been featured in Artist's & Illustrator Magazine and has also shown with the Royal Society of British Artists at The Mall Galleries.
