Marie Gregory

Born in 1963, currently living in London. Marie Gregory?ɬ¢?¢�¬¨?¢�¬¢s sculptures are inspired by sea creatures and mermaids and mermen in mythology. Using splahes of aquamarine and dashes of vibrant colour her comical interpretations of aquatic life are original and inspired. Her repertiore has grown to include other animals and she is happy to consider commissions. From toothy grinning pirhanas, and luscious red lipped angelfish to satisfied seals and confused zebras, each piece has its own unique character. Marie Gregory?ɬ¢?¢�¬¨?¢�¬¢s work is created in papier mach?É�?Ç� with details in clay, then painted in gouache, acrylics and water colours, finished off with an acrylic non toxic varnish. She started her own business ?ɬ¢?¢�¬¨?ã�Fish for Starters?ɬ¢?¢�¬¨?¢�¬¢ in 1989, and has had her work exhibited in many shops and galleries since 1990 in London, San Fransisco and Holland.
