Michael Quirke

Michael studied at St Martins school of Art and shortly after leaving college worked under Maurice Field, the founder member of the Euston Road Group.

Although Michael was first known for his vivid portayals of Circus and Circus life,hHis paintings of musicians and London street scenes have won him world recognition and acclaim.

Micahel works in the mediums of oil, pastel and gouache. His mastery in all these mediums and his bold use of colour have won him admiration worldwide.

He has taken part in numerous group exhibitions all over England. He held his first one man show in 1989 at the Ophelos Gallery in London.
