Roy trained as a biologist at The Queen Mary College and worked in research and industry in the U.K, Argentina, California and Spain, followed by a period in property development in the U.K, before becoming an artist. Since that time he has studied at Chelsea, Putney and Heatherley Art Schools and has painted in Europe, Egypt, India and Turkey. Roy Pettit has exhibited at many London and provincial galleries including The Academy Business Gallery and with th RI, RBA. and ROI at the Mall Galleries. He has had one man shows at the Fircle Place, Milne and Muller and Highgate Fine Arts (2001,2003,2005) Mixed shows at Patterson Fine Arts( anually from 1997-2007), Century GAllery from 1997-2003 and with The Small Paintings Group at a wide variety of galleries over the past 7 years.
